What is the GMAT Focus Edition?
GMAT focus edition is different from the previous version. GMAT was in existence until late 2023, after which the GMAT Focus Edition was introduced by early 2024. Currently, GMAT Focus Edition is the only GMAC management aptitude exam which is valid and available for the students.
GMAT Focus Edition has a short duration. The latest duration of the GMAT is 52 minutes less than the older test’s duration. Comparing the sections, 2 sections from the earlier version which are the ‘Analytical Writing Assessment and Integrated Reasoning’ have been replaced with 1 section on ‘Data Insights’. Therefore, the latest GMAT format has a revised score, new content and more flexibility compared to the previous exam style.

GMAT Exam Pattern 2026
The most recent format of the current GMAT exam also known as the GMAT Focus Edition exam includes 3 sections. These are Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Data Insights. Each section has a duration of 45 minutes each. As per the latest format, GMAT Focus score range is 205 to 805. While calculating the score, each section of the test is assessed on a 1 point increment using a consistent 60-90 score scale.

What is the Syllabus for the GMAT Focus Edition 2026?
Knowing the details of the GMAT Focus Edition syllabus 2026 is an important to ace this exam. A total 64 questions shall be based on the GMAT new version syllabus. From the 3 sections, Quant shall comprise 21 questions while 23 questions shall be asked in Verbal Reasoning section and 20 in the Data Insights section.
