Paths to Get Into ISB

You can get into ISB through three different paths.

  • PGP: For students with more than two years of work experience.
  • EEO (Early Entry Option): For students with less than two years of work experience.
  • YLP (Young Leaders’ Program): For the final year students in college.

So, anyone from a college undergraduate to someone with ten years of work experience can apply to ISB. For the last two modes of entry, the admission is deferred until the candidate completes two years of work until the day of joining.

However, it is important to note that a GMAT score is required in the first application stage for only the PGP and EEO programs. The YLP program considers the GMAT scores in the later stages of the process.

Admission Process

There are three steps to the admission process at ISB:

  1. Application and Essay: In the first step, you are required to fill out the application form along with two essays: one on your uniqueness and the other on how your career goals align with what ISB can provide you. This form will contain all your details and achievements, including your positions of responsibility. This will also include your GMAT score for the EEO and the PGP applications.
The application deadline usually falls in early September for the first round. There are two more rounds of admissions where you can apply at later dates; however, the number of seats decreases with each successive round.
  2. GMAT/GRE Score: If you have not yet received your official GMAT score, you can submit your unofficial score in the admission form, which ISB will verify once the official scores are out. ISB also accepts GRE for their admissions.
  3. Personal Interview: If you are shortlisted from the pool of applicants for the interview, you will have an interview call with the admissions committee of the ISB. The interviews (for round 1 applicants) are held throughout October and November. The final results are usually declared by the end of November.
