When to register for the GMAT 2022?

You can register for the GMAT between 6 months and 24 hours before the scheduled date. However, you will not be able to find a slot at the last minute.

Information required for GMAT 2022 registration process

You will need the following information to complete your GMAT registration:

  • Full name as it appears on your passport
  • Email Address
  • Correspondence address
  • Gender 
  • Phone number
  • Date of Birth
  • Nationality
  • Payment details (debit/credit card)
  • History of education (optional)
  • Work experience (optional)
  • Native Language (optional)

If you do not fill out the optional information, the GMAT registration procedure will take you about 10 to 15 minutes.

The majority of people register for the GMAT online. In seven easy steps, you can register for the GMAT:

1. Register on mba.com

Sign in to mba.com and click the ‘sign-up’ button in the upper right corner. It will take you to the sign-up page, where you must fill out the following information:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • E-mail address
  • Password

You can also customize your communication choices and choose whether you want to receive information on financial aid, school recruiting, GMAT, management education, and other offers from business schools and GMAC.

Your account is created once you agree to GMAC’s terms of use and privacy, and you may begin the GMAT registration process.

2. Begin the GMAT registration process

To begin registering for the GMAT, click on the Exams button at the top of the page, and you will be led to the registration page.

When you click ‘Register Now,’ you will be brought to the profile creation page.

You must ensure that your name, date of birth, and nationality exactly match the information on your identification. (Your passport should be your primary form of identification.)

You will be prompted to fill out the following information on this page:

  • Title (Mr., Ms., Mrs., Dr.)
  • First Name
  • Middle Name(s)
  • Last Name/ Surname/ Family name
  • Suffix, if applicable (Jr., Sr., II, III, IV)
  • E-mail address

Once you’ve entered all of the required information, click ‘Next’ to enter your personal information.

3. Fill in your personal information

You will be required to fill up your personal information on this page. You must supply the following information:

  • Country/ Region of residence
  • Address
  • Primary telephone number
  • Mobile telephone number
  • Correspondence language

After you click ‘Next,’ the next screen will request additional personal information from you. Some information is required, while some are optional. As a result, you have the option of not responding to the optional information. First, it will request demographic information from you.

  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Country of citizenship
  • First or native language (optional)
  • Second language (optional)
  • Third language (optional)

The following page will request your communication preferences. It will inquire if you wish to proceed.

4. Enter Optional Information

The information requested by GMAT here is entirely optional, and you may choose to disregard it. On these pages, you will be asked to provide the following academic information:

  • The highest level of education attended
  • The institution from where you got your degree
  • Month and year of graduation or expected graduation
  • Undergraduate major or primary field of study
  • Undergraduate secondary field of study
  • Overall undergraduate GPA (GPA conversion table is provided)

It will then prompt you to submit the following information about your employment experience.

  • Work experience
  • Job function and industry
  • Your military experience, if any
  • Current or last company

It will then ask you for information about your business school plans.

  • When you plan to start a graduate management program
  • The region where you plan to pursue
  • Kind of graduate management degree you want to pursue
  • Which specialization you want to pursue
  • Which job and industry you plan to work in after graduating

5. Verify your profile

It will next request that you authenticate your profile. When you click on ‘save profile’, you will be given the following information. 

You do not need to go through the above steps if you already have an account on mba.com. You can begin by booking your GMAT exam.

6. Schedule your GMAT exam

When scheduling your GMAT exam, you will be prompted to choose up to three test centers that are closest to your desired location. As you type your preferred location in the search box, it will give you a list of 5 test centers in descending order of the distance.

You can choose the city where you want to take the GMAT and up to three test centers.

When you click next, you’ll be prompted to select a date for the test. We chose the 29th of April to demonstrate the process.

When you click the Next button, the website will provide the available dates for each test center around your desired date. In our circumstance, we received this. If you can’t find your preferred GMAT date, you can alter the test center and search for it again.

If you find your selected date, click on it, and the page will prompt you to choose an appointment time. You have the option of selecting a morning or afternoon time slot.

After you’ve decided on a test venue, date, and time, you’ll proceed to the final step in the GMAT registration process.

7. Pay the GMAT registration fee

You’ll be asked to confirm the appointment information, and you’ll have 15 minutes to finish your order. When you click ‘confirm your order,’ the next page will ask you to agree to the policies.

When you click next, you’ll be sent to the payment page. Complete the payment, and you will receive an email from GMAC with the subject ‘Official GMAT Exam Confirmation.’

The GMAT registration process is finished, and we hope you ace your exam on the big day. If you need to reschedule your GMAT, click on ‘reschedule exam’ and pay a US $60 rescheduling fee.
