Admission Process at London Business School

The Admission process at London Business School(LBS) for the MBA program has four stages.

The Admission process will be done in three rounds. In Every round, the stages in the section process are standard.

Let us view in detail each stage in the section process.

Online Application Submission: The Candidate must submit the online application on the official website before the deadline provided in the above table. Then all the applications will be reviewed by the admission council of the London Business Council (LBS).

Interview decision: After the final review of all the applications. The Interview decision mails are sent to the shortlisted candidates. This process will start from the date mentioned in the above table.

Interview Period:  The shortlisted candidates will get a mail of interview call with date and time details. The candidate must attend the interview as per the given instructions.

Admission Decision: The candidates who attempt the interview and the shortlisted candidates will be sent with a mail granting admission to the London Business School (LBS).

Candidate Requirements

Online Application form: The application form is designed to be completed over several sessions. You can save your work as you go and submit the completed form whenever you are ready.

Application Fee: The application fee is £200. The application will remain incomplete until you pay the complete application fee.

GMAT/GRE Score: LBS accepts both the GMAT and GRE scores for the admission process. As I mentioned in the above section, you must need a valid score before applying for MBA programmes in LBS, United Kingdom. Please submit your official test-taker copy of your score with your application. The average GMAT score to get into London Business School (LBS) is 708, within the score range of 600 to 790.

Visa: If you are not a British or Irish citizen, you may need a visa to study in the UK. If you have Settled or pre-Settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme, this gives you permission to live, work and study in the UK, and you won’t need a visa to check with us. If you don’t have Settled or pre-Settled status, you will need to have valid immigration permission to study in the UK. Candidate must need a Student visa OR UK immigration permission that permits study, e.g. ILR, EU Settled or Pre-Settled status, Spouse/Partner visa. Please note that you cannot usually study any of the programmes on a Visitor visa. If you have a Skilled Worker (formerly Tier 2) visa, you will need your employer’s consent to study with us full-time.

Essays: The candidate must write essays during the admission process. We recommend that the candidates spend a significant amount of time preparing.

The questions for the MBA programme are:

  1. What are your post-MBA goals, and how will your prior experience and the London Business School programme contribute towards these? (500 words)
  2. Is there any other information you believe the Admissions Committee should know about you and your application to London Business School? (Optional) (500 words)

A One-Page CV: The Candidates need to upload their one-page during the online application process and mention the reason for significant gaps in employment history on a separate sheet.

Referee: You need to ask someone to act as a referee for the admission process. You need to give their name and details. After you input your referee’s details into the online application form, we will send them an email with our online reference system log-in details. The LBS admission council have the right to contact your referee for further information in connection with your application.

Proof of English Language Ability: If English is not the native language for the candidate, then they need to submit your IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge CPE, CAE or PTE Academic score. Other tests will not be accepted.

Transcript Request Form: A transcript of grades from each university you have attended (if you are made an offer). Transcripts also require a certified translation into English.
