Problem-solving (PS): You are given a set of questions and must calculate the answer.

Data Sufficiency (DS): You must determine whether the data provided is sufficient to answer a specific question.

Data sufficiency questions/Problems

This section is designed to examine your ability to analyze data in an organized manner. You’d be given a question, two statements, and five response options. These answer options are always the same.

As a result, it’s a good idea to memorize all of them, including their order. Then, using your logical and analytical skills and your quantitative understanding, determine whether additional data is required or adequate to get the solution. As the name implies, the goal here is to check the data sufficiency rather than get the solution.

Problem-solving questions

This part of the section is intended to assess your quantitative abilities and your ability to solve a problem using a variety of mathematical principles.

There would be a more significant amount of problem-solving questions. Each of the two types of questions listed above would appear in random order throughout the section.
